Good Friday Car Run and Visit to Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway

Our annual Branch Car Run and visit to Bolton Abbey station will take place 19th April 2025. For those wishing to travel directly to the railway, please be at Bolton Abbey Station for 10am. It is anticipated that there will be a parking attendant on duty to direct you where to park. 

If you would like to take part in the convoy run to Bolton Abbey Station, we will meet at the McDonald’s on the A59.  The address is: -

The convoy will leave McDonald's at 9.15am, so please ensure that you are there before then.  Being a McDonald's, there is the opportunity to get something to eat/drink and also use the facilities before continuing on to Bolton Abbey Station.

If you are going directly to the railway, please make sure that you go to Bolton Abbey Station (postcode: BD23 6AF) and not Embsay Station.  Please be at Bolton Abbey Station for 10am.  That will allow time to display the cars and purchase tickets before the first vintage train of the day at 10.40am.

Again this year the railway are kindly offering us 2 for 1 tickets for travel on the railway on the day (subject to confirmation).

For anyone who wants to stretch their legs, there is a pleasant walk to the historic Bolton Abbey from the station.
