Sunday 27th April is this year’s Drive it Day.
The Branch has a run out planned to commemorate the occasion in 1900 when 65 vehicles drove from London to Edinburgh and returned to London to prove the viability of the motor car. The route isn’t going to be as ambitious as that one, but it is a scenic one. It starts at the McDonald’s at Clitheroe on the A59 and winds its way through Waddington, Dunsop Bridge and Whitewell before finishing at Little Town Dairy (opposite the former Ferrari’s at Longridge). It is around 23 miles and should take around an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half to complete.
The starting address is:-
McDonald's, Holm Road, Ribble Valley Business Park, Clitheroe, BB7 9WF.
The convoy will leave McDonald's at 10.30am, so please ensure that you are there before then. Being a McDonald's, there is the opportunity to get something to eat or a coffee and use the facilities before we set off.
The route will finish at:-
Little Town Dairy, Longridge, Preston, PR3 2TB
Printed copies of the route will be available on the day.
There is no need to book for this event, just turn up on Sunday 27th April ready to set off at 10.30am.
